Adventure Therapy

We provide individual, couple, and group therapy as well as therapy supervision.

Adventure therapy takes advantage of outdoor experiences as a treatment to promote growth and development in physical, social, and psychological well-being. Experiencing new challenges can empower an awareness in learning new insights into managing everyday circumstances. Each adventure will offer opportunities to find metaphors in the natural world, create mental and emotional mapping, and restructure relational insufficiencies.

The activities used in treatment will be specific to each client's interest, strengths, and desires. Adventures have included, but are not limited to, hiking, biking, SUP boarding, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, surfing, canoeing, fire-making, swimming, and other sports.

The psychological framework that will be integrated includes the work of relational psychodynamic, humanistic experiential, and system centered therapies. The cognitive and verbal effort will aim to discover the true healing power of the mind, body, and spirit.
